It’s important to take time to reflect. This week I was working on a website, and after a long day it’s important to step back and just think. It’s helps bring clarity. Focus. One thing I’ve been learning over the past few weeks specifically is to take this time to see where you’re headed. We have goals, right? How are we to achieve them if it’s not something we consider weekly, or even daily. I don’t want to waste a week or even a day pursuing the wrong thing.

For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not remembered the Rock of your refuge; Isaiah 17:10a

If you don’t check your heart, you end up forgetting. That’s why we need this time. It’s not going to be easy to get this time unless we make it happen. I had an experience recently that amplified this need in my life. If you start on a trajectory that is just slightly skewed, and just keep traveling that direction, you end up far from your destination. Check your heart. Pursue Christ. Consider creative ways to share the Gospel in your community and where God has placed you.
